🚍 School transport
The Pôle School transport is a working group of parent volunteers whose aim is to work with the school and the transport company to find ways of improving the daily comfort and safety of our children on the buses.
🎒 School supplies
The UPMD provides students at the International French Highschool with school supplies that are not sold in bookshops in Vietnam. Students and their parents can come and buy their supplies throughout the school year, at the association’s office (between the accounting department and the infirmary) located at the Lycée Français International Marguerite Duras.
🩹 Scholarships & grants
Scholarships are reserved for French children living abroad with their families (at least one parent), registered in the worldwide register of French nationals living outside France and attending a school approved by the French Ministry of Education, which includes the Lycée Français International. They are awarded on a means-tested basis. These must be compatible with an allocation scale set according to the economic and social situation of each country.
The UPMD aims to help families, particularly single-parent families with a Vietnamese-speaking parent, to fill in applications for school grants for their children. Every year, applications are rejected or postponed due to incorrect or missing information.
🎉 Holidays & events : Halloween, Christmas, Têt
Volunteer members organize several events for the children to mark these important moments of the year.
⚽️ Soccer
Enthusiasts of the round ball, the members of the UPMD energetically run a soccer club so that our children can develop the art of dribbling, leg passing and, above all, team spirit and teamwork.
🎡 La Kermesse
Every year, the association organizes this festive day with the help of LFI.
In addition to the end-of-year shows organized by the different classes, there are games for all, a flea market, craft stalls, refreshments and lunch, and of course the big tombola!
