Let’s respect each other!
UPMD is a non-profit association run by a team of volunteer parents. They participate in the association for altruistic reasons, not to satisfy personal demands.
All active members adhere to the values of the association, i.e. :
- Integrity: the UPMD pursues its objectives with honesty, correctness and responsibility, respecting rules, ethics and agreements made. Politeness and respect are expected from members when communicating on behalf of the UPMD, and particularly when communicating with the school.
- Efficiency: the UPMD participates in the life of the establishment to make its contribution, with defined roles, identified responsibilities and autonomy, in order to achieve the goals set out in the articles of association.
- Solidarity: the UPMD is committed to solidarity, both with member families and within the organization.
- Fairness: UPMD respects differences (race, religion, language, different abilities, etc.) and acts to ensure that there is no discrimination within the school.
- Transparency: the UPMD puts transparency at the heart of its actions and communications, so that everyone can find out about its activities.
- Involvement: the UPMD lives and breathes through the involvement of its members. Each member is expected to contribute to the UPMD to the best of his or her ability, and if he or she assumes one or more responsibilities, is free to leave at any time, after informing the Board of Directors and, if possible, co-opting/representing one or more candidates to replace him or her.
- Democracy: the UPMD represents all its members, with their wide range of interests and expectations… and makes every effort to get to know and represent them better. Its operating rules (majority, quorum, etc.) reflect this orientation.
- Openness: the UPMD is open to members’ suggestions and proposals.
Members represent the values of the association to third parties and adhere to this charter.
